An important mission of the Killeen-Temple Urban Transportation Study is to engage the public in the transportation planning process. Public Involvement Approval The Public Involvement Policy (PIP) was amended in 2001 to incorporate specific measures to implement environmental justice. A 45-day public comment period is required before the PIP can be adopted and a 45-day comment period will be required for revision. The amended PIP was available for public review and comment from July 10, 2001 to August 24, 2001. The Public Participation Plan (PPP) replaces the Public Information Policy (PIP). K-TUTS staff updated the document with revisions on SAFETEA-LU and other minor changes. K-TUTS will accommodate comments in the final version of the PPP. Therefore, the current PPP is in draft form until all updates and changes have been approved and verified as accurate. |
